Description of Bar/Restaurant Facilities
The "Il Tufo Allegro" Restaurant, located 6 km from Sorano in Pitigliano, was created from a typical residence of Pitigliano, and proposes a cuisine that is strictly connected to the territory, the "Cucina dei Goym" (typical of Pitigliano), which bears witness to 5 centuries of cohabitation with the local Hebrew community (the second largest in Tuscany, after Livorno).
The wine list tends to emphasize the local wines above all, but also includes some prestigious national labels.
Description of Conference and Meeting Facilities
The Meeting Room, located 7 km from Sorano, is located in the Bourbon Del Monte palace, an imposing building of the 16th Century which is situated in the Piazza del Pretorio close to the Church of Santa Maria.
The room is available for any occasion of “representation” such as private dinners, appetizers, birthdays and small parties.
Furthermore, it is also used as the location for small conventions and educational courses.
How to reach Hotel della Fortezza
By car
From the North:
Take the A12 motorway in the direction of Sud; merge onto the SS1 Aurelia until 150.5 km (Albinia); continue along the SS74 to Pitigliano.
From the South:
Take the A12 motorway in the direction of Nord; merge onto the SS1 Aurelia until the km 111; proceed following the indications for Manciano, and then merge onto the SS74 to Pitigliano.
- SS71 in the direction of Montefiascone - Viterbo until the km 17; continue along the SS74 in the direction of San Lorenzo Nuovo, then to Pitigliano.
- From the Sole A1 motorway, exit at Firenze - Impruneta; merge onto the Expressway and continue to Siena Sud; then take the Via Cassia in the direction of Sud (SS2) until km 146.7; follow the indications for Sorano.
- From the Sole A1 motorway, exit at Chiusi; follow the indications for Chianciano and successively the indications for Via Cassia; proceed along the Via Cassia in the direction of Sud until km 146.7; follow the indications for Sorano.
- From the Sole A1 motorway, exit at Orte; merge onto the Expressway until Viterbo, exit for Siena; continue along the Via Cassia (SS2) until km 88, follow the indications for Valentano, and successively the indications for Pitigliano (SS232 then SS74).
By air
The airports of reference are as follows:
- airport of the Maremma "Corrado Baccarini", approximately 90 km from the structure;
- the "Leonardo da Vinci" international airport of Rome - Fiumicino, approximately 170 km from the structure.
