Villa Il Poggiale is set in a period building in San Casciano in the Pesa valley in the heart of the Chianti region, approximately 20 minutes drive from Florence and a short distance from Siena.

The antique style villa is the product of the successful refurbishment of a period building and is the perfect choice for pleasant, relaxing holidays, romantic getaways and family holidays.

The residence has a Renaissance cloister with a view over the classic style garden, an open air swimming pool - open from June to September with a view over the surrounding hills and a spa where guests can sample a variety of treatments or relax in the whirlpool bath.

La Villa represents the perfect choice for every type of event including weddings, themed dinners, meetings, team building trips, workshops, tournaments, competitions, exhibitions and conferences.

Every 1st January, Il Poggiale's lounge hosts a chamber music concert featuring soloists from the "Maggio Musicale Fiorentino" music festival.

Guests have access to free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Different guest rooms are available decorated in an elegant and welcoming style. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a minibar, a kettle, satellite colour television, a direct dial telephone, a safety deposit box, WiFi internet access and an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer.

Description of Bar/Restaurant Facilities

When the swimming pool is open, the hotel offers a light lunch in the "Tinaia" restaurant which is located in the old oil store opposite the swimming pool, where guests can sample products from the farm as well as delicious, Tuscan appetisers.

From the 1st April to the end of October, guests can enjoy dinner in the villa.
A delicious buffet is served for dinner which includes hot dishes, salads and Tuscan specialities.
During the Winter, the restaurant is open only for reservations.

The delicious breakfast is served from 08:00 to 10:00 and during the Summer, guests can eat outside.
Breakfast includes fresh ricotta cheese, jams, honey and cold meats from the nearby farms, apple cake with cinnamon, peach flan, brioches, chocolate cake, cheese quiche and many other home made specialities.

Description of Conference and Meeting Facilities

The meeting room can comfortably accommodate up to 40 people and has a vaulted ceiling that has been painted red and a lovely view of the garden.
Modern audio-visual equipment is also available.

By car

From the A1 Milano – Napoli motorway, take the Firenze - Impruneta exit and head along the state road towards Siena to the San Casciano exit.
Before entering town, turn right and head towards Empoli – Cerbaia.
The residence is located around 3km ahead on the left.

By train

The closest railway station is the Firenze station.

By plane

The local airport is Florence – Peretola airport around 35km away.
