The Puntabella hotel is situated in Varazze, within an independent building on three floors, in a splendid location of the Ponente Riviera, just 15 km from Savona and 25 km from the center of Genova.
The peaceful panoramic location, quality service and warm welcome makes this hotel an ideal destination for a holiday of absolute wellness, with numerous choices for sport and nature lovers, with bicycle routes and relaxing areas for strolls.
Two private beaches are located in front of the hotel with a special entrance fee for guests; a 5 km track within what is deemed a natural park, allows guests to discover striking inlets with little beaches accessible for free.
At the disposition of guests are thirty recently renovated rooms (5 of which are independent and equipped with a cooking area), an excellent Restaurant, spacious car and bus parking area and private garage.

Pets are welcome.

Room Description

The 30 recently refurbished rooms, 5 of which are independent and equipped with cooking area, all provide satellite color TV (with the best German, French and British channels, the Mediaset Premium package and Sky TV), air conditioning, direct line telephone and private bathroom.

Other rooms in the back gardens are also available for guests.

Description of Bar/Restaurant Facilities

Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:00 and includes exquisite Genovese focaccia hot from the oven, classic brioches or biscuits and also fruit juices, ham, cheese, salami, fresh fruit, corn flakes, jam, Nutella, honey, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

The Puntabella restaurant has a cozy dining room that can comfortably accommodate 80 people and a magnificent panoramic veranda that can accommodate 200 people, ideal for receptions and banquets as well as more intimate and private occasions.
The restaurant offers excellent fresh fish dishes, such as soups, grilled fish, mixed fried fish, marinated anchovies, salt crusted and roasted bass and prawns from Santa Margherita Ligure.
The regional dishes include homemade pesto pasta, Portofino style lasagna, traditional stuffed vegetables, Genovese style stockfish, and the excellent porcini mushrooms from Sassello (only available in season).
Meat lovers will certainly not be disappointed: In addition to an excellent ragout with fresh pasta, guests can also enjoy the mixed grilled meat from the Langhe area.
Some of the fine wines available include Pigato, Vermentino and Lumassina; the pizzeria offers 25 different types of pizza.

As of this year, the restaurant has a new dining room with a projection screen, karaoke for entertainment dinners, an outdoor patio for smokers, a new wood-fired oven for the pizzeria and open barbecues.

How to reach Hotel Puntabella

Other information about the location

By car

A10 Motorway Genova - Savona, take the Varazze exit. Turn immediately left into State Road SS1 Via Aurelia, continue for about 2 km to reach the hotel (on the left).
For those coming from Genova / Milan: A10 motorway, take the Arenzano exit. Turn immediately to the right taking State Road SS1 Via Aurelia, reach the village of Cogoleto and after going through it continue uphill for 700 meters to reach the hotel.

By train

The Varazze railway station is along several national railway lines connecting Milan, Turin, Ventimiglia and Genova. The ALI Autotrasporti bus is available from the Station, stopping at the entrance of the hotel.

From Genova: Step down at Cogoleto station, exit into the square and continue along the slope to the sea; after reaching Via Aurelia reach the bus with the service going to Varazze (on the right in front of a bar). The driver will be able to indicate the stop directly in front of the hotel entrance.

By plane

From the ‘Cristoforo Colombo’ airport of Genova guests may take the Volabus service to Genova Brignole station, or reach the station of Genova Sestri Ponente in 10 minutes by foot, then continuing by train to Cogoleto.

From the Villanova D’Albenga airport a bus goes to the railway station and then a train to Varazze is available.
