A very cool old but renovated and well kept house. Kind of hard to find (little tiny one way streets) but doable. Nice people, clean rooms, definitely recommended.
The management is off site and so a late arrival leaves one waiting quite a bit for the manager to arrive and register you. Even when we left at ten in the morning, no one was available in the office. The interior of the hotel is very nice despite the exterior being somewhat questionable.
This was a beautiful bed and breakfast! The attention of the young staff member was superb and the facilities impeccable. I hope that friends can take advantage of the experience and I hope to return some day.
The reception of the B&B is not open all day. I arrived early wanting to change and leave the bags in the hotel rather than in the car. It was not clear how to arrange this.
The B&B was, however, lovely. Very clean, well decorated and comfortable. Staff very attentive. A fraction expensive for the lack of any facilities.
We only required the B&B for a stay prior to going to the Airport. Only a short drive away and very convenient. I believe the B&B also has a shuttle bus but we did not require it.
The good stuff: rooms were impeccably clean.
The bad stuff: even though we booked 3 days ahead, nobody was there at 4pm when we arrived after a long drive. We had to call them from an international mobile phone, then wait on the street for 15 minutes until somebody turned up. There was no apology and they seemed surprised.
The rooms were small, the bathroom was outside the room, and every sound both inside and outside the house could be heard very loudly inside the room.
The young people in reception gave unsolicited advice about airport check-in, argued amongst themselves, made us pay for breakfast even though we didn't have time to have any.
The town itself had a tiny beach, most of the roads were unfinished, and the only 2 restaurants on the "recommended" main drag were cheap pizza take-aways.
All this for 67 Euros which we were told by the receptionists was a discount we were lucky to get. For that price we've lived in much nicer, bigger and more welcoming places elsewhere in Sicily where there are actually people in reception, not to mention actual roads, restaurants and peaceful places to hang out.
