The hotel Exclusive deserves the adjective 'boutique' perched at the top of the hill that is Agrigento, the first thing that you'll notice is that there is free (free in Sicily!) parking right across the road, in the (rather pretty) train station. Secondly, you'll notice that the exterior of the hotel is painted in a pristine white that frankly you don't see a lot of anywhere in Sicily. At reception you will find service that is pleasant but hardly holds out the promise of future pen-pal relationships with staff. Rooms (of which I believe there are only nine) are small but perfectly formed (with lovely tiling, colouring, beautifully equipped bathrooms, sky TV and decorative 'art' that does - just about - decorate the room). Cool views back out over the sea from our balcony and joyful sounds of kids playing in the almost adjacent school in the morning. Breakfast was amongst the best we had in Sicily: a fine array of sumptuous pastries in addition to all the usual suspects, plus due cappuccini made to order. Overall a brilliant value hotel: will appeal to a very wide range of visitors to the wonderful town of Agrigento!
