Freitag-Abends um 23 Uhr Restaurant geschlossen, Hotelbar geschlossen; nichts zu trinken, nichts zu essen, es wurde auf die Minibar im Zimmer verwiesen (wir kamen mit der verspäteten Fähre von Sardinien). Das Personal des Hotel Gran Duca war überhaupt nicht hilfsbereit. Beim ersten Besuch des Hotels war es wesentlich besser gewesen!
Aber Italien ist auch anders: am gleichen Abend, um 23.30 etwa 300 m entfernt vom Hotel: ein Restaurant, wo dem Wirt nichts zuviel war, sehr gut gegessen, sehr guten Wein getrunken und alles nur halb so teuer wie es im Hotel gewesen wäre.

Bei der zweiten Uebernachtung, 14 Tage später: Abends um 11 Uhr Bar geschlossen und im Restaurant, wo noch Gäste da waren: nichts mehr zu trinken, geschweige denn zu essen erhalten! Und das am Freitagabend.
