General Description
La Bussola hotel and restaurant is located a short walk away from the sea at Cape Vatican of Ricadi, about 6 km away from Tropea and 500 metres away from San Nicolò town centre.
Managed by the experienced Giuliano family since 1973 and fully renovated in 2009, the hotel offers high quality facilities that guarantee comfort and wellbeing.
It has 32 rooms (26 in the main building and 6 in the annexe), all furnished with balcony or veranda, a restaurant, 3 conference and meeting rooms, a large garden with flowers, fruit trees and various types of palm trees, 2 swimming pools surrounded by greenery and a peaceful sunbathing area on the first floor with umbrellas and deck chairs

Restaurant and bar
The high quality food and service offered by "La Bussola" make it one of the best restaurants in Calabria.
The hotel has 3 comfortable lounges with a bar, a pizzeria for passing trade and a large veranda surrounded by parkland and furnished with coffee tables and comfy chairs, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail.
In the morning you can choose from an Italian style breakfast or an extensive sweet and savoury buffet including hot croissants, hot chocolate, milk, coffee, tea, freshly-picked fruit, confectionery, cereals, yoghurt, fruit juices, bread, butter, jams, honey, local charcuterie and cheeses (on request) and crispbread.
The restaurant menu varies every day and proposes fish dishes and Calabrian, national and international specialities.
Theme days are organised with typical Calabrian produce.
Special attention is paid to preparation of the pizzas, cooked in a wood-burning oven.
Guests can choose from a carefully selected wine list including some of the best DOC (Registered Designation of Origin) wines from Calabria and the rest of Italy.
"La Bussola" hotel and restaurant won the first Red Onion Festival of Tropea, held every year in Ricadi on 13th August.
The kitchen staff have participated in some important television programmes and have received various types of prestigious awards over the years.

A3 "Salerno - Reggio Calabria" motorway, “Pizzo Calabro” exit. Proceed on the main road to Tropea - Cape Vatican. Alternatively, take the “Sant'Onofrio - Vibo Valentia” motorway exit and follow the signs for Ricadi - Cape Vatican.
From the south:
A3 "Salerno - Reggio Calabria" motorway, “Rosarno” exit. Proceed to Nicotera - Joppolo - Coccorino - Ricadi - Cape Vatican.
Alternatively, take the “Mileto” motorway exit and proceed on the SS18 road for Tropea and then on the “Strada Provinciale di Monte Poro” road; at the Zungri junction follow the signs for Spilinga, Ricadi, Cape Vatican.
