Hotel Villaggio Calaghena is situated in the most enchanting bay along the Ionian coastline in Calabria, between Copanello and Soverato, 1500 metres from the sea, set amongst olive groves and palm and cork oak trees. In an atmosphere charactarised by relaxation, fun, well-being and Mediterranean flavours in a traditional stone building, whilst at the same time maintaining all the modern comforts of a contemporary hotel.

The hotel has two swimming pools, one with hydromassage and the other with a cordoned off area for children, 3 bars – including one on the beach, 2 tennis courts, a five a side football pitch, a "percorso vita" fitness circuit in the pine forest, a children's play area, minigolf, ping-pong, archery, amphitheatre, bazar, TV lounge, indoor parking and transfer service to and from the beach. The list of services is completed by a spa and a well equipped conference suite.

Situated 1500 metres from the holiday village, Lido Calaghena beach with its fine white sand lapped by the waves of the transparent blue sea, offers a variety of services and equipment including a bar and shaded area for refreshments and relaxation, a restaurant (during July and August - charges apply and booking required), "freschiere", umbrellas and sun loungers, life guards, showers and changing rooms. In addition guests can participate in group canoeing, sailing and windsurfing lessons, there is a well-equipped “miniclub” area and beach volleyball court as well as a variety of games and entertainment.

For those wanting to relax, there is a spa which offers beauty treatments, regenerative treatments, personalised muscle toning and circulation improvement treatments as well as a carefully selected line of cosmetics. Among the services available are a sauna, solarium, hydromassage, massage treatments, well equipped fitness area, mud treatments and face and body beauty treatments.

The 150 guest rooms are situated in the main building and around the park and all have a shower, hairdryer, telephone, air conditioning, satellite television, fridge and safe (charges apply). The rooms are divided in to standard rooms with 2/3 beds, comfort rooms with 2/4 beds with a balcony or terrace and family rooms with 4 beds made up of two bedrooms with separate beds.

The triple rooms with the possibility of adding a 4th bed are subdivided as follows:

- TRIPLE designed to sleep 3 adults with the possibility of adding a 4th bed.
Supplement to be paid on site for the fourth bed:
For adults – 28%, for children aged 12 to 16 - 24%, and for children up to the age of 11 - 12%.
- TRIPLE JUNIOR SUITE designed to sleep 2 adults and a child aged between 12 and 16 years of age with the possibility of adding a fourth bed.
Supplement to be paid on site for the fourth bed:
For adults - 29%, for children aged 12 to 16 - 25%, for children up to the age of 11 - 13%.
- ECONOMY TRIPLE designed to sleep 2 adults and a child up to 11 years old with the possibility of adding a fourth bed. Supplement to be paid on site for fourth bed:
For adults - 37%, for children aged 12-16 - 32 % and 16% for children up to 11 years old.

Description of Bar/Restaurant Facilities

The Calaghena offers a choice of dining areas, spread over large spaces.
During high season, meals are served in the picturesque Garden Room where traditional local meals are served alongside delicious national dishes in a relaxing, friendly typical holiday atmosphere. Buffet meals are available with table service sharing with other guests on tables of 8.

The “Sala Tipica” is air conditioned throughout and is dedicated to children (booking required and charges apply).

During the warmer months, the beachside restaurant is open with a welcoming bar open every day from 10:00 to 18:00.

Within the village there is a poolside bar, next to the 2 swimming pools (open from 09:00 to 22:00) and the “Il Casale” bar, considered the pride of the village, with a panoramic terrace overlooking the bay.

Take the A3 motorway to the Catanzaro - LameziaTerme – Aeroporto exit. Head towards Catanzaro for around 25km, then take the Germaneto – Università exit. Go straight for around 15km until reaching the Soverato - Reggio Calabria intersection, then take the SS106 state road for around 20km until reaching the Soverato Nord - Montepaone – Petrizzi exit (immediately after the Centro Commerciale “Le Vele" exit). Head straight following the directions for Calaghena.
