Our stay was fine. Nothing fancy - just what we needed. Friendly and helpful staff with a free minibus to the airport. The place has lots of character - not a sterile international hotel. The bizarre and faded décor is themed on horses - lots of pictures of nineteenth century English racing scenes. The hotel is an old Post House, where the post changed horses. The restaurant was lively in the evening - good pizza. Breakfast was fine. Nothing fancy.
It is OK to stay there if you only want to spent the night before flying back. They said the restaurant would be open in the morning to take a coffee or so, but it remained just words.
