Booked a quadruple some months earlier, we were looking forward to a comfortable stay at this hotel following a five hundred mile journey from the south of Italy. We had anticipated arriving at around six o’clock in the evening. However, due to almost continuous traffic jams, we did not arrive until about nine o’clock. We were hot, sticky and ready for a good meal from the restaurant – as serving until 23.00 hours. We were in for a shock! Entering the hotel we were met by the overpowering smell of body odour. The hotel seemed to be occupied by many young people apparently treating the hotel as home. Upon booking in I asked could we go to our rooms to freshen up and then have our evening meal. The man behind the desk looked blankly at me and announced that the restaurant was not open. I was surprised at this given the glowing report we had read, however I asked him if there was somewhere nearby where we could eat. He kindly booked us into a nearby restaurant, but told us to go straight away as was locking the hotel and going at 11p.m. Another shock – When we asked what would have happened if we had arrived at 11.30, we were told we would not been able to enter, and so would have spent a night in the car). This resulted in us flying out of the hotel unwashed and unchanged and searching round Banchette to find the restaurant. Unfortunately a good meal was spoiled by our having to rush, make do with one course, and get back into the car to try and find the hotel again before our 11pm curfew. Not the evening we had anticipated. Things looked a little better when we got to the rooms. They were clean and quite pleasant. However, after our very hot and tiring day we were ready for showers – no hot water! No towels in one room. The air conditioning was not working at all in one room, and barely in the other. Given that the temperature had been 38C that day, and we were on the seventh floor, you can imagine how stiflingly hot the rooms were. We asked to change rooms, but were told that none were available. Consequently we ended up moving two mattresses into the room with some air conditioning in the hope that we might get some sleep. The next morning we were more than ready to depart from the hotel Ritz, but not before our breakfast – we were expecting a nice buffet breakfast... no such thing! Our breakfast consisted of four stale rolls, tinned fruit salad, pre wrapped crackers and cereal. If we wanted juice it was dispensed from a machine. We asked for butter – none available. We had to have something to eat after leaving the hotel.

Quand nous sommes arrivés le restaurant ne fonctionnait pas et le petit déjeuner était minime .

While everything was sufficient the beds were very uncomfortable. Overall a decent place to stay just to lay your head and store your stuff while sightseeing but I wouldn't want to stay for an extended amount of time. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

L' hotel a besoin d'etre rénové, et mettez un vrai jus d'orange au petit déjèuner, merci. Je trouve que le prix est un peu excessif.
