Frequentando spesso alberghi a 4 o 5 stelle, ritengo di avere sufficiente esperienza per valutare. Questo hotel non ha piu' di 3 stelle.
La stanza è stata cambiata dopo la prima che non conteneva neppure una cassettiera, con un'altra più spaziosa (considerata deluxe) con una tenda al posto dell'armadio, una doccia con tenda, un lavandino minimum con specchiera singola.
L'hotel ha bisogno di manutenzione esterna (l'accesso alla piscina è decadente). La prima colazione era a base di brioches, marmellata con fette biscottate buitoni (!!), pomodorini, prosciutto cotto e melone (terminato alle 9,50 senza possibilità di rifornimento) e frittata casereccia di erbette.
Personale cortese e disponibile, ma un po' rassegnato. Non ho fatto neppure questioni di denaro, visto che era ciò che il convento passava.

We ate in the restaurant the first two nights of the stay but did not eat there after that. Two issues put us off eating there again. The way the menu is organised is very confusing. The antipasti, primi piatti and secondi piatti were all listed together in no order. This combined with the lack of adequate translations made it hard to guess what we were ordering.
The second issue I had was around the staff in the restaurant. There were plenty of staff and they were all friendly and helpful. However they seemed to be very disorganised. We were left waiting to order our food for quite a long time and then two different staff would come to our table within two minutes to take the order. On another occasion our table was not cleared for a while. The person who finally cleared it was one of the more senior staff I thought when a junior person seemed to be wandering around the restaurant looking for something to do.
I traveled with my Aunt Cousin and Son 75 - 18 years old. The Signum satisfied my "tough to deal with" Aunt and all the way to my 17 year old. They were understanding, welcoming and genuinely happy to see our stay was a delight. Thank you Signum!! Especially the young lady, I believe her name was Isabel who helped us and Clair and everyone else who saw to it that OUR ( the Bitlers) stay was flawless. To those who managed to calm and help my Aunt--God bless! The Signum is a top notch establishment!
I enjoyed the most wonderful days at the Signum, which was my "treat" hotel on my month visit to Sicily. The staff made sure that my son and I had a wonderful time. I would most recommend this hotel to my best friends....It was fantastic!! Thank you Signum!!! Beth Bitler
