Several things were disturbing. One was that Sani House, never responded to my questions even when written in Italian. I repeatedly asked if the accommodations could be changed to have tow people instead of just one. There was never any answer from the hotel. We arrived at the hotel, after 1 1/2 hours. No one knew where the street was. We returned to the Station and had the IT call him to ask directions and he said: he was too busy to talk. And was rude to the receptionist. We finally made it and found there was only one bed- a small one "matrimonial-as he said". We could not explain the situation to him, he was very set in his ways. He did change it to two beds the next day and then asked if we could change rooms since someone else was coming and wanted the double bed. He said the room was smaller but would be the same. It was for a single person and the bathroom was down the hall. I ended up sleeping on the floor!
The breakfast was down the street- somewhere. He gave us the coupons and pointed us in the direction. When I asked the name of the restaurant, he didn't know. So there was no breakfast the first morning. He walked us over the next morning. My niece, who is gluten allergic could not eat the breads and therefore could not eat breakfast except for the coffee, so she asked to give the tickets back as did I since I didn't want to go without her. On the night (Thank goodness-our last night) of the changed room, we had done the transaction earlier and then found out what the room was like. He was not available in the morning since he took his wife to the dentist and we could not ask for a refund. That had to be the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel, and I have stayed in rooms with only cold running water and otherwise but I knew what was expected. I will never stay there again.
This was an outstandingly lovely hotel to stay in...
The owner was wonderful and I would heartily recommend this hotel, especially for families, just a wonderful family feel...
