Inaugurated in 1950 after the renovation and expansion of an Aeolian house, the Villa was founded by the Swiss painter Edwin Hunziker and is currently managed by his niece Clelia, providing the same friendly hospitality.

The rooms are large and comfortable and overlook large covered terraces. Nearly all of the rooms have a breathtaking ocean view.
The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, direct phone lines, and private washrooms with shower and hair dryers.

Guests are met with a delicious breakfast each morning in a lovely dining hall decorated with the works of Edwin Hunziker. This hall can also be used to relax with a book or watch television. During the summer months, the buffet is served on the terrace overlooking the ocean.
Lipari can be reached by ferryboat or hydrofoil boat from the following ports:
- Port of Milazzo (1 hour by hydrofoil boat; 2 hours by ferryboat);
- Port of Messina (1 hour by hydrofoil boat);
- Port of Reggio Calabria (2 hours by hydrofoil boat);
- Port of Palermo (3 hours by hydrofoil boat);
- Port of Naples (4 hours by hydrofoil boat; 9 hours by ferryboat)
From Lipari Sottomonastero port, it is a 900m walk to the hotel, crossing Via Torrente Valle, Via Vainicher, Via G. Marconi, and S.P. Pianoconte until reaching the address 1 Via Tufo Diana.
By car, go to the end of Via Vainicher to S.P. Pianoconte for 300m, and turn left on Via Tufo Diana.
By plane
- From Catania – Fontanarossa International Airport, the Giunta Bus shuttle bus service is available from June to September to the port of Milazzo with the companies Siremar and Ustica Lines.
Throughout the year, the SAIS bus company runs from the airport to Messina station. From Messina station, the Giunta Bus runs to the port of Milazzo.
- From Palermo - Punta Raisi International Airport, a shuttle bus runs directly to the port (around 40 minutes away) operated by the company Prestia e Comande. From here, the Ustica Lines company runs hydrofoil boats.
Summer: in the morning at 7:00 and in the afternoon at 14:00.
Winter: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:00.
No cancellation penalties will be charged if notification is given at least 2 days prior to arrival. In case of cancellations made after this date or no-shows, the first night will be charged to the credit card provided. No advance payment required; this room will be paid for directly at the hotel.
