The staff are friendly but not extremely competent. The desk clerk could not give me directions to the hotel by telephone either in English or rudimentary Italian. Also, when I inquired about a bottle of medicated shampoo overlooked while leaving, I was told that the cleaning staff had thrown it out immediately after our departure.

One does not expect all the comforts in a former convent, but this place needs some upgrading of the current spartan accommodations. The shower stall is antiquated, with dangerously slippery mat. It would be o.k. at a lower price for backpackers.

The website says that there is a restaurant, but when we arrived, it seemed that the restaurant was not open, probably because there were not many guests.

On the other hand, we had to leave very early in the morning to catch a plane, but staff provided a simple breakfast. We wish to thank them for this.

The direction for driving to the hotel was confusing as it led us to drive the wrong road (main road) to Erice. We had to ask for the way in Erice to find the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay there,but trying to find the hotel was extremley difficult! There were no signs to indicate where it was. You need a good map to find it. Also there needs to be many signs to direct you to it.
