Staff were pretty terrible - a woman greeted us and my Italian speaking partner told her several times we were checking in and she didn't understand, 10mins later she finally went and got a staff member that spoke English. On check out the staff were having a joke behind the counter while I stood there for 10mins trying to pay as they ignored me.

There is no lift/elevator in this hotel.

The breakfast was horrible.

El hotel es bastante antiguo y el agua caliente dura muy poco. El desayuno es muy justo. El personal es amable.

Manca l'ascensore e il secondo piano corrisponde ad un terzo. Poca scelta nella colazione.

The hotel very basic equipped, but clean. Ideal for the trip to discover Siracuse. The staff was really very helpful with solving our problems. Hotel is located 5-10 minutes walk to the historical center of the city.

Personnel aimable, ne parle pas francais. pas d'ascenseur. prévoir boules quies si la chambre donne sur la rue pavée. pas de parking privé mais ma moto était garée devant l'hotel et surveillée par caméra. très bien placé pour visiter l'ile d'Ortygie ou le parc archéologique.

We chose this hotel because we were travelling with our dog. The staircase up to the first floor was really narrow and quite difficult to negotiate. We had to carry our dog as he had just had a major leg operation and that was quite dangerous, we felt. There was no international telephone dialling from the hotel which meant we had to go out to the nearby rail station, which was rather inconvenient. The room was comfortable, if rather old-fashioned. Value for price would be our main point. We stayed at three other hotels on our way through Italy, including ones close to Rome and Genova, which were cheaper and frankly much better. So this was a bit of a disappointment. The lady on Reception, however, was very friendly and very helpful with street maps etc. We did not use restaurant or bar so cannot comment.
