Reviews Hotel Florida - Venice

I stayed at the Florida hotel in Venice, Italy, as it was booked on the site (actually, it was from 6:00 pm Oct 25 to 10:00 am Oct 26, 2011). As I was leaving the hotel at 10 am on Oct 26, 2011 with my bags in hands, I asked the hotel personnel in the lobby, where I can leave my bags because I was to leave by train for Rimini in the evening, and I left my bags, as directed, behind the small column to the left. After that I asked, if everything was OK with my payment for staying that only one night Oct 25/26 at the hotel (as I always ask everywhere I travel in the world and I travel internationally at least 3-4 times a year). A man at the counter checked and said that they had already charged me for that one night OK, using the number of my credit card I gave while booking on the site. After that I left the hotel, spent the day travelling by boats (and I have a ticket showing that). I visited the Florida hotel to take my bags and left for the train. In the evening of Oct 26 I returned to Rimini by railroad (I have tickets to the effect) and very early in the morning on Oct 27 I was on a train going to Rome, when I received a sms from my bank that I was charged twice the sum for the hotel. At that moment at 10 am I was on the early train going from Rimini to Rome and could not possibly spend that night in Venice. I have all the train tickets (I had them stamped before boarding the train) and also all my purchases were recorded by my bank as I travelled from one town to another, indicating the time, the date and the town). I called the hotel myself immediately, although I was on a train and it was not easy to connect with Venice from near Rome. The hotel person listened to my explanations and promised to settle the problem. Unfortunately, as a result of this "settling", they charged me additionally for one more night! I mean, they first charged for 2 nights, then they charged for one night but both these charges are still on "hold". Tatiana Ivanova.

Vale por la ubicacion, cerca de la estacion de trenes, vaporeto y paseos turisticos. Desayuno bueno.

La prima notte non è stata assegnata la camera superior richiesta, ma una camera standard che è veramente infausta per il costo applicato.

- Einfaches aber sympathisches Hotel in einer engen Seitengasse in unmittelbarer Nähe des Bahnhofs. Komfort und Infrastruktur entsprechen dem, was von einem Zweistern-Hotel erwartet werden kann.

- Sehr liebenswürdiger und aufmerksamer Service des Personals, sowohl an der Reception wie auch beim Zimmerservice und im Frühstücksraum.

- Ideale Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe des Bahnhofs (Bahnreisende ersparen sich die Mühe, bei Ankunft/Abreise mit Gepäck die oftmals überfüllten Vaporetti zu benutzen).

Le personnel de l'hôtel est distant et ne cherche pas à accueillir les gens de façon chaleureuse. Manque d'intérêt pour ses clients. Par contre dès qu'on demande quelque chose, il y a une écoute et on nous satisfait notre demande. Le petit déjeuner, hormis le café, n'est pas très appétissant et il manque les fruits, et surtout la variété. Sur 4 matins, on a toujours vu la même chose. Le matin, on était réveillé à 5 heures par les bruits des roulettes des valises sur les pavés de la ruelle. (proximité des hôtels et surtout mauvaise isolation). Déçus tout en se disant que ça aurait pu être pire vue le coût de la vie à Venise.

L'unico inconveniente della camera mancanza di un apposito porta acqua sui termosifoni. Mancanza di umidità nella camera cioè troppo asciutta. Poi un altro inconveniente ma non si può adattare il rumore dell'orologio della chiesa. Per il resto tutto ok.

Les lits supplémentaires dans la chambre pour 4 ne conviennent pas à des adultes mais plutôt à des enfants.

La ruelle dans laquelle se situe l'hotel est très sale. A proximité immédiate de la gare.L 'hôtel est malgré tout calme à condition de garder les fenêtres fermées. La sale de petit déjeuner est particulièrement exiguë. Dans l'ensemble hôtel très simple, bien tenu mais vieillot. Odeur désagréable dans la salle de bain. Climatiseur monobloc vétuste.

L'acceuil était très bien et le personnel très sympathique, le séjour c'est très bien passé, seul bémol, il n'y a pas de repas le midi et le soir c'est dommage.

Bruyant et chambre petite

Impossibilité de regarder la télévision => télécommande cassée et non remplacée
