The hotel proprietor Gianfranco de Carolis, was in our opinion one of the most obliging and helpful hoteliers that we have ever experienced. We were there because of a family history connection to the area dating from world war 2. Mr de Carolis went well above what could be expected of a hotelier and helped us have a most successful, enjoyable and at times emotional visit to this area. In short he was fantastic. Not only that, the food in his restaurant was great and he was very obliging and accommodating of one of our party who has a dietary requirement. Personally I think he is the best hotelier I have ever met by a long way.
