The refurbishment claimed was just repainting, the old fixtures and fittings remain. Many things did not work; shower screen, window shutter, etc. There was no warning of the many steps to the rooms. The restaurant was very good for evening meals. It took a long time for staff to become familiar with individual requirements; 8 to 9 days! Do not expect English to be spoken or well understood. Overall a unique experience with the excentricity enjoyed in retrospect.
