Un bagno piuttosto piccolo per una stanza sufficientemente grande.

Excellent hotel. Yes, the rooms aren't massive, but they have everything you need: aircon, TV, phone and great staff. We had a lovely little balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard and could hear the cathedral bells (not too loudly). The small bathroom that some people have complained about isn't really a problem-the fan dries it quickly and the water drains off the floor in 5-10 minutes.

The hotel is really central-getting to the cathedral does take 5 minutes, unlike many others that claim to be as close.

The best thing about this family-run hotel is the staff. The rooms were cleaned every day, sheets/towels changed every two days and they even hung up clothes we had left hanging over the wardrobe door as we left quickly to get to an art gallery one morning! They were very helpful with directions and other information, both in Italian and with their limited English. They will get up a google map and communicate quite well.The breakfast was continental with a good choice of croissants, bread, fruit salad, yoghurt and two kinds of cerealand the coffees were excellent.

A word of warning: there is no lift, but that is not a problem as the staff will help you if you have big bags and you press the intercom. If you are on a 'Ryanair special' you probably won't have big cases anyway!

Considering the price, quality, location and service that this hotel provides, I would not hesitate to recommend it to others and will use it again next time I'm in Florence.
