The Best Western Grand Hotel Royal in Viareggio with its unmistakable tower architecture is located directly on the sea in the heart of Versilia.

Inaugurated in the early 20th century, it was the home of European nobility and was a centre of Versilian culture. It is currently one of the most impressive examples of Art Nouveau style architecture in Italy and has maintained a timeless atmosphere while successfully combining history with modern, functional services.

The long path full of shops is found in front of the hotel while to the back, it borders on the beautiful green Pineta di Ponente forest, the site of numerous athletic events and recreational activities for children.

The Grand Hotel Royal is the only hotel in Viareggio with a semi-Olympic swimming pool surrounded by a spacious, well-manicured garden with sunbeds and umbrellas where guests can relax.

The guest rooms are comfortable and are decorated in a classic style. They are all equipped with a minibar, a safety deposit box, an LCD satellite television, Sky TV, a set for preparing hot beverages, and an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer.

Most of the rooms have a breathtaking front or side view of the sea.
