Take the Autostrada dei Fiori motorway to Cecina, continue along the Strada Statale Aurelia state road until reaching Follonica Est, then follow the directions for Massa Marittima and for Montieri. Around 1km outside of town, turn right following the directions for Rifugio Prategiano.
From Florence:
From the A1 Autostrada del Sole, take the Firenze Certosa exit. Head towards Siena until reaching the Colle Val d’Elsa Sud exit, follow the directions for Radicondoli - Grosseto, and around 1km away from Montieri, turn right towards Massa Marittima. The Rifugio Prategiano is located around 500m away on the left.
Distance: 90km Time: 1h15.
From Siena:
Take the Strada Statale Senese Aretina state road towards Roccastrada. After having passed Frosini, follow the directions for Chiusdino and subsequently for Montieri. Continue for around 1km after the town towards Massa Marittima, then turn left and follow the directions for Rifugio Prategiano.
By train
From the Follonica railway station, transportation is available to the hotel upon request.
