Hotel San Lino, Volterra

The Hotel San Lino, created from an ancient cloistered convent built in 1480, is an exclusive hotel that is located within the medieval city walls of Volterra.

In 1982, after a series of renovations directed at maintaining and glorifying the original architecture, the complex became a refined hotel in which the suggestive atmosphere, reminiscent of another time, is skilfully joined with comfort and quality services.

The hotel features rooms that have been created from the antique cells of the cloister nuns and which are arranged on 3 floors and divided into the categories of Standard and Superior.

The Standard rooms, located on the first floor, are decorated in an “Arte Povera” Tuscan style which is in accordance with the simplicity of the original monastic environment.

The Superior rooms, located on the second and third floors, are of a classic-continental style. Refined and elegant, they are decorated with taste and an attention to detail including furnishings in cherry wood, moquette and prestigious draperies.
