The restaurant has a large internal dining room and a large terrace surrounded by splendid, green countryside. The restaurant serves traditional Tuscan cuisine, accompanied by a good selection of wines. The restaurant is also ideal for hosting group lunches and receptions.
The kitchen serves dishes based on traditional Tuscan flavours where extravirgine olive oil and herbs serve as the base for cooking meat, sauces and vegetables.
Among the dishes on offer are vegetables, meat and game, cakes and cantuccini (traditional biscuits), pappardelle pasta with wild boar, "pici all'aglione" (pici pasta with tomato and garlic sauce), boiled meat, hog roast, wild boar in tomato sauce, Siena style fried platter and wild boar steaks.
Fish is also available but must be ordered in advance.
The wine cellar
The restaurant offers a wide selection of wines with approximately 150 varieties to choose from, all of which are produced in central and southern Tuscany from "Supertuscans" to Chianti, to new wines. Among the "Supertuscans" are Tignanello from the Antinori vineyard, Sassicaia from the San Guido vineyard, Solaia and Avvoltore from the Moris vineyard, Brunello di Montalcino and San Carlo from the Antinori vineyard; among the new wines are those from Montecucco, Morellino and Monteregio.
The continental breakfast is served at the Da Vestro Restaurant from 8:30 to 10:00 and includes bread, butter and jam, honey, hazlenut chocolate spread, home made cakes croissants, melba toast, cereals, yoghurt, ham and cheese, fruit and hot and cold drinks.
