General Description
Villa Revedin is located near Oderzo – the ancient ‘Opitergium’ – a small town of Marca Trevigiana in the ancient area once under the control of the Venetian noble families.
The villa testifies to the style and splendor of the glorious Serenissima Republic and still reflects its rich Roman and Medieval history.
Built by the noble Venetian ‘Morosini’ family between the 1400s and the 1500s, it then became the summer estate of the ‘Foscarini – Cornaro’ family at the end of the 18th century, thus becoming an aim for many Europeans travelers of high station.
After the fall of the Venetian Republic the Villa was purchased by the Revedin counts and in 1976 became a prestigious hotel-restaurant.
The picturesque setting of the peaceful countryside of Gorgo al Monticano and the striking view over the century-old park ensure a relaxing atmosphere which brings to mind the pleasurable life of old.
