Take the A1 Autostrada del Sole motorway to the Orte exit. Head along the Raccordo Orte – Terni to the Terni Ovest exit, then take the SS79 state road towards Rieti following the directions for Lago di Piediluco.
Alternatively:
Take the A1 Autostrada del Sole motorway towards Bologna. At Bologna, take the A14 Adriatica motorway towards Ancona to the Cesena Nord exit.
Head alongthe Superstrada E45 Cesena – Orte motorway to the Raccordo Orte – Terni to the Terni Ovest exit.
Continue along the SS79 state road towards Rieti following the directions for Lago di Piediluco.
By train
From Terni Station on the Roma – Ancona railway line, take the interregionale bus to Marmore/Piediluco/Rieti (to the Piediluco stop).
From the Orte railway station on the Firenze – Roma railway line, get off at the Orte station, then take the connection for Terni.
