La Rocca Vigliena was built in 1595 as a defence against the Saracen raids and overlooks the beautiful beach and the surrounding countryside.

From Messina:
Take the A18 Messina – Catania motorway to the Catania exit. Head along the Tangenziale towards Siracusa and turn onto the SS514 Catania – Ragusa state road to the Comiso exit. From Comiso, head to Santa Croce Camerina and follow the directions for Punta Braccetto.
From Palermo:
Take the A19 Palermo – Catania motorway to the Caltanissetta exit. Take the SS190 state road to Gela, from Gela head to Scoglitti, take the coastal road, go through Scoglitti and follow the directions for Kamarina and Punta Braccetto.
By plane
The local airport is Catania – Fontanarossa International Airport.
