Il problema era il portiere (straniero con scsarse conoscenze d'italiano) che non ha mai risposto né reagito ai miei quesiti via mail oppure SMS dicendomi che non era in grado di scrivere in italiano. Ci ha promesso una colazione dalle 8 per la prima mattina - ma poi alle 8:15 il ristorante l'abbiamo trovato chiuso e non siamo riusciti a rintracciare nessuno. Questo albergo non lo raccomanderei mai a nessuno. Conosco Alba da 30 anni ed ho alloggiato in vari Hotel - ma mai in condizioni tali!

Impossibile rintracciare personale dell'albergo - nessuna risposta né telefono, né SMS, né email - prima mattina nessuno in reception - difficile trovare qualcuno per pagare il conto. Il ragazzo in reception con poche conoscenze d'italiano - per cui non ha risposto (secondo lui). Poca acqua dal rubinetto - riscaldamento a tutto volume senza possibilità di abbassare.

The Ai Portici is well located close to centre of tourist Alba. We were there during a festival time, so it was quite noisy with vendors erecting stands and booths early in the mornings and celebrants carousing late into the night. In a different season it would be more calm.
The decor is a little quirky, but clean. Not much space in the rooms, but otherwise ok. Kind of expensive for the space. Reception is on another floor of the building, so no real assistance with recommendations or other questions.

Im Badezimmer Haare von mehreren Vorgängern, sehr schmutzig. Beim Eingang Rauchverbot, trotzdem wurde geraucht und es roch ständig nach Rauch. Wir werden nie mehr dort ein Zimmer reservieren.
