The hotel is pretty basic but seems value for money along the Amalfi cost. The location at the harbour right in the centre of Amalfi is great.

The best way to find this place is to stand on the pier in the harbour. Then just look towards the town and you will see their banner at the top floor of the building above the tourist information. The entrance to the hotel is on the main street through Amalfi. To get there walk through the pedestrian tunnel behind the tourist information. When on the other side of the main street take the narrow stairs up to the main street. Turn right on the main steet and the door (with a small sign above it) is the green one on the left just after entering the road tunnel.

The manager was very helpful with getting a car parked if required. The price for this was 18 EUR per day.

A beautiful spot. Signage wasn't good and it is tricky to find if you are in a car. The shower was blocked, the breakfast was terrible, and the proprieter demanded cash only on check-out, with a really silly excuswe that there had (unbenown to us) been a storm the previous night which disabled his credit card facility! Car parking at 18 euros per night and the car is whisked away to the paper museum 0.7km away, and left unlocked in the corner of a yard (we know we visited it). However if you dont mind such eccentricities then it is indeed a great location.

L'accès à l'hôtel est situé sous un tunnel routier, donc lorsque vous stationnez devant pour y accèder vous créez obligaroirement un embouteillage. En plus c'est très dangereux ! On oublie de nous dire que l'hôtel est situé au 3e étage de l'immeuble, sans ascenseur, et que les marches ne sont pas standard (environ 30 cm de hauteur !) épuisement assuré pour arriver à votre chambre.

Nous avions réservé la chambre n° 5 (la meilleure) mais à notre arrivée elle déjà occupée. Nous ne l'avons emmenagée que le lendemain. Le premier soir, nous avons couché dans une chambre mansardée qui sentait le moisi. Pour cela le généreux responsable de l'hôtel nous a consenti une ristourne de 10,00 Euros !

D'ailleurs, à savoir qu'il ne sourie que lorsqu'il vous parle d'argent. Comme par hasard son lecteur de carte était en panne et il voulait un paiement en liquide. Paiement en liquide également pour le parking à la fin du séjour alors que l'on ne vous avait pas prévenu que c'était payant (18 Euros par jour).

Enfin petit déjeuner (le plus mauvais que j'ai jamais pris dans un hôtel) mauvais café (un comble pour un italien) en accompagnement du pain, juste du beurre et des confitures industrielles, il faut réclamer pour un jus d'orange. Bref très très mauvaise prestation. Heureusement, il y a la vue !!! mais je ne conseille vraiment pas cette "résidence".
