The man on the desk when we arrived, who was obviously working alone, was very friendly and could not do enough for us even bringing us tea and biscuits to our room, although he was running about doing everything. He was great. The only complaint was that the landing and stairs looked like they had not been hoovered for days. We thought it was strange that such a lovely hotel had a dirty staircase.
