The hotelier spoke no English and made little effort to communicate effectively. Paid extra for parking but had to park at municipal car park on outskirts of city because hotelier made no effort to explain where the additional parking was.

Breakfast could be much better. Too simple. In my opinion not enough to call breakfast - the type of breakfast I'm used to when I visit a hotel.

The description of the hotel and facilities on the website was inaccurate. Breakfast is a basket of pre-packaged toasts and buns left in the room - we were only given enough for two people and had to ask for extra for the other two people in the group. We had to ask again on the second day.The staff removed our own water and biscuits from the fridge and threw them out, even though we were still in residence. There is no parking at the hotel. The lady at reception gave us a card to get a discount at a local car park, however staff at the car park said there was no arrangement with the hotel and therefore we had to pay full price. We had booked an apartment for 4 people. When we arrived there was one double bed and a single bed in the room. We were advised that an extra bed would be brought in to be put in the corridor between the front door and the kitchen! When we complained that that was not acceptable, a second apartment adjoining ours was offered to us as an extra on condition that we did not use the kitchen. However the new kitchen was fully furnished, which ours was not, so we had no choice but to use the new kitchen in preference to using ours. All the rooms are supposed to have air conditioning. When we arrived I asked where the air conditioning was, I was advised that there wasn't any in our room, however it was available in the apartment next door! So we had one apartment with ac and one without. The lady at reception was very helpful, however the gentleman (the owner?) was unhelpful, surly and argumentative. We had agreed to pay extra for the use of the second apartment and when we checked out we were charged full price for both apartments, even though we were only allowed to use one of the kitchens! The location of the hotel is good being very close to the main square and it is very quaint. Be prepared to challenge anything which is not right when you check in.

Did not find the staff very helpful. Especially when they did not warn us about the public parking in the Saturday market zone. Our car was towed and it took a whole day to sort it out. We felt that the staff could have been more helpful and warned about the Saturday market.

Great location (in town but quiet) and very clean.

Some problems: free parking is a good hike with luggage; pay lot is closer but still a number of blocks away; breakfast is a basket of crackers and a pastry in plastic in the kitchen; air conditioning located in only 2 rooms which are on the 3rd and 4th floor of the hotel. - no elevator.

The swimming pool was some km away. There was no balcony.

The parking info was bad wich resulted in 2 parking tickets. The so called private parking spot was the garage of the city and the info we got from the hotel was not correct.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and courteous and the hotel was located in a very convenient location. The only suggestion we have is that you should upgrade the sleeping supplies (ie. mattresses, extra pillows, etc.)

Everything was lovely except that it was SO COLD at night--neither of us could sleep at all.
