Antico Borgo di Tignano, Volterra

The characteristic “osteria” (tavern) which was created in the ancient olive mill has an ample panoramic terrace and provides the ideal setting for romantic dinners by candlelight.

The owner of the agro-tourism personally occupies himself with creating simple, genuine dishes that are in accordance with tradition without neglecting the possibility of a vegetarian menu.

The Antico Borgo di Tignano has a Meeting Room that is able to host 80 people and features modern equipment for conferences and projection.

By car

From the Sole A1 motorway, exit at Firenze - Impruneta. At the first roundabout, take a right and take the Siena – Firenze motorway connection. Continue for approximately 40 km and exit at Colle Val d’Elsa Nord. At the first stop, take a left and follow the indications for Colle Val d’Elsa - Casole d’Elsa - Volterra; after 2.5 km, take a right in the direction of Volterra - Casole d’Elsa by taking the SP27. After the Quartana locality, continue travelling straight for 7 km and at the first roundabout (in the vicinity of Cavallano) follow the indications for Casole d’Elsa - Il Merlo by proceeding for approximately 5 km on the same road.

After approximately 500 metres from the beginning of the province of Pisa, take the access road to the village of Tignano which is located on the left. Continue for approximately 800 metres along the dirt road.
