Ave Gratia Plena, Salerno

The Ava Gratia Plena hostel is situated in a 17th century period building in the historic centre of Salerno, a few metres from the 11th century cathedral, the sea, the station and the port. Guests at Ave Gratia Plena are within easy reach of the famous Amalfi Coast or can easily take a boat to Malta or Sardinia. The old Lombard city with its maze of characteristic lanes, churches and noble buildings is easily reachable on foot, as well as the lovely promenade - which is the perfect place for relaxing walks. The archaeological site of Pompei and the Greek area of Paestum are also easily reachable by train and bus.

Dating back to 1650, Ave Gratia Plena was originally a conservatory for girls, and from 2003 modernised its mission to incorporate hospitality, becoming the seat of Salerno's youth hostels offering comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms.

Guests are welcomed by highly professional staff in to a magical, peaceful atmosphere in a lovely historical setting.

Guests have access to the original cloisters where there is a historic fountain where guests can sit and relax, a library, a restaurant with a courtyard open during the Summer months, 24 hour support by multilingual staff, Wi-Fi Internet connection, electronic door keys and a welcome corner.

The hotel doesn't charge for the tourist tax as this category is exempt from the charge.

The hostel offers rooms with en suite bathrooms distributed over the second to fourth floors with a view over the characteristic old city centre, some also have a sea view.

The price includes overnight stay, linen and breakfast.
