Polisena L'altro Agriturismo is set in an old monastic period building, surrounded by vineyards; and only five minutes from all the main roads, on the hills of Pontida in the province of Bergamo. The agritourism is the perfect choice for those looking for a pleasant, relaxing holiday.
Located far from the chaos of the city, surrounded by green countryside, forests and vineyards, in spaces which recall the charm of a time gone by.
The recent environmentally friendly refurbishment allows the agritourism to use solar power as an energy source thus making it totally self sufficient.
Polisena is the first agritourism in Italy to be awarded the KlimaHotel certification, a classification which as well as recognising high standards of energy saving, also refers to three other areas (Nature, Life and Transparency) recognising the achievement of perfect synergy between man and nature.

The rooms have been carefully decorated with natural materials (organic wood, leather and fabrics) and are finished in a minimalist style. They feature energy saving electricity, a beautiful panoramic view, ecologically climate controlled blinds and maximum thermal and acoustic isolation to ensure guests the ultimate in comfort. The rooms have parquet floors and fsc certified furnishings with an oil finish.
To complete the offer, there is also a spa suite which has a Turkish bath and a multi sensory shower.

Restaurant and bar
The restaurant serves meals prepared using fresh, organic produce. Vegetables, mutton, all types of flour, fruit for jams and honey are all produced on site in the agritourism.
The other products used, are carefully selected, local top quality ingredients.
The wine cellar, as well as offering 5 wines produced on site, also offers a selection of approximately fifty other organic wines from all over Italy.
Guests can also try the wines produced in the agritourism at the bar with its characteristic 17th century, vaulted ceilings.
Description of Conference and Meeting Facilities
The agritourism also has meeting rooms with a panoramic veranda. The conference suite is equipped with a laptop, a DVD player, cable Internet connection, projector, speaker system and support provided by specialist technical staff.
The room can be set up in a horseshoe style, with individual desks or in a conference style.
Coffee breaks featuring organic produce (homemade cakes, baked on site), fruit juices and coffee can be catered for.

By car
From the A4 Torino - Venezia motorway, take the exit for Dalmine.
From the A4 Venezia - Torino motorway, take the exit for Bergamo.
Once you leave the motorway, stay on the highway and follow signs for Lecco – Como. At the end of the highway, join the SS Briantea state road and continue until you reach Pontida. Approximately 1 km after the welcome sign to Pontida, turn right towards Roncallo Gaggio and follow the signs for Polisena.
By train
The agritourism offers a transfer service from From Pontido train station.
By plane
A transfer service is available from Bergamo - Orio al Serio International Airport to the agritourism.
