General Description
The Relais del Castello di Oviglio is found in a royal castle surrounded by a large park closed in by walls in the Alessandria hinterland. It is in a convenient location close to Alessandria, Acqui Terme, Marengo, Casale Monferrato, Asti, Turin, Milan, Lake Maggiore and Lake D'Orta.
The relais was given the name Castello Reale when it was purchased by Queen Cristina of Savoia. In 1908, on the request of the Minister of Public Education, it was declared a national monument of art and history.
