General Description
The Hotel Ristorante Monterosa is found in Ameno in the heart of Piedmont in a lovely panoramic location overlooking the massif of Monte Rosa and Mottarone and Lake Maggiore to the west.
The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature and is just a short distance away from the historic centre of town. It has convenient private parking, a lovely terrace, an elegant sitting room, a bar, a spacious restaurant and a park.
The hotel was founded in 1974 by Marianna and Vittorio Pastore, who both have long-standing hotel experience. The family management is now under the care of the third generation of this family, who have carried out a thorough renovation of the hotel.
This excellent location is just a short distance away from some of the most beautiful tourist sights in the area, such as Lake Orta, Lake Maggiore, Ossolane Valley, Mottarone, Val Sesia, Switzerland and the main shopping cities of Piedmont and Lombardy.

Restaurant and bar
The dining rooms are welcoming and have recently been renovated to accommodate up to 130 guests.
In the summer the dining area expands to include the lovely veranda with a panoramic view.
The kitchen serves typical regional and seasonal cuisine allowing guests to try local specialities from the a la carte menu or to select a number of samples to enjoy a variety of local delicacies, such as wild game with polenta, porcini mushrooms, local deli meats and cheeses, homemade desserts, a wide selection of risotto, homemade ravioli and pasta, fresh fish from the lake, and Piedmont meats accompanied by organic vegetables.
Each dish is prepared according to historic recipes passed down from generation to generation.
The spacious veranda and comfortable dining room are set up for a welcoming aperitif and can also have live bands play for entertainment.
